This year, my favorite flowers are the potted zinnias on my deck.
Um...actually, now that I think about it, zinnias are my favorite flower every gardening season. Huh.
I wonder what would happen if I only planted zinnias - then how could I unabashedly display partiality? I like playing favorites. Do you play favorites when it comes to gardening (or something else)? Do you like to play favorites?

I totally favor my front yard over my back yard even though my back yard has more beautiful flowers. It has to do with people seeing the front yard and only Les and I see the back yard.
I also favor cleaning my bathroom over the kitchen- I always use the best smelling cleaners in the BR but the kitchen only gets windex and lysol. Maybe it's because I hardly spend any time in my kitchen :)
I also favor shoes, but then who doesn't? lol
I love reading your blogs!!!
I'm at my parents' house and I'm having a really hard time not playing favorites with my nieces and nephews. There's one two-year-old in particular that has such funny ways of expressing himself and a laugh that totally melts my heart. Is that bad to have favorites when it comes to family? I should try harder to be impartial.
I think I usually have a special place in my heart for any type of orange flowers. And I also play favorites with my neieces and nephews. I don't feel bad- it's not my fault that some of them are cuter/cooler than others!
Such pretty flowers! We had zinnias the last two years, and I loved them. (I'm missing them this year, but my marigolds are alright, I guess.)
Melons over squash. They both take up so much room one can rarely have both.
